“We got Steady based on a recommendation from our neighbour across the street who used them last year. Mike came out, spent probably 40 minutes on our roof, and came back down to tell us we didn't actually need a replacement for another 3-4 years. He pointed out where we could do spot repairs to buy us time. What kind of contractor talks themselves OUT of a $15k job?? Called him back a month later for a small repair and we're using them for the full replacement when the time comes. No question.”

“Storm took out about 20 shingles and cracked a skylight. Mike had a tarp on the roof within 4 hours of me calling on a Saturday. Full repair done the following Tuesday. Dealt with State Farm directly so I didnt have to. Cannot say enough good things about these guys. STEADY by name steady by nature lol.”

“Honestly the best experiance I've had with any contractor in 10 years of owning this house. Mike quoted us $14,200 for a full replacement including new eavestrough and that's exactly what we paid. No 'oh we found some rot, that'll be another 2 grand' surprises. When they did find a couple soft spots in the decking Mike just texted me a photo and included it at no extra. Who does that??”

“Called Mike on a Tuesday afternoon because we had water coming down into the hallway during the rain. He was on our roof by Thursday morning. Turned out to be a cracked boot around the vent stack and some flashing that was basically held on with hope. Quoted us $380 and that's what we paid. Also pointed out two other spots that'll need attention in the next couple years but said they were fine for now. Didn't try to upsell us on a whole new roof. Will call them first thing next time.”

“Solid work, fair price, good communication. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is they showed up 45 min late on day one without a heads up. Once they were there the work was great though — full tear-off, new underlayment, IKO Cambridge shingles in weatheredwood. Looks really good. Dave on the crew was super friendly with my dog which my wife still talks about.”

“Got three quotes for a full tear-off and Steady wasn't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either. What sold me was Mike actually showing up to do the quote himself instead of a sales guy with a pad. He walked me through what they'd do, showed me where the previous roofer cut corners (apparently NO ice-and-water shield in the valleys?? on a 15 year old roof??), and gave me the quote in writing same day. Crew of 3 knocked out a 25 square roof in a day and a half. Cleaned up better than I expected. Would hire again.”

“Small leak over the kitchen. Three other companies wanted to come sell me a new roof. Mike came out, got on the roof, fixed two shingles that had blown off in the February wind storm, charged me $180. He didn't even try to book a bigger job. A roofer who fixes things for $180 is basically a unicorn in 2025.”

“Mike told us our roof had another 5 years in it. Every other company we called wanted to sell us a new one. We'll be calling Steady when the time comes.”
